About Us

Apollo Electric was founded in April 2019 by Mike Armstrong. With over 15 years of experience in electric and contracting work, Apollo Electric specializes in solar installations where they install, maintain and repair solar power projects. They also work in the residential and commercial fields of electric, from wiring your new house to repairing your electrical outlet. Superior technical expertise, strong customer service and utmost professionalism are the components that makes Apollo Electric stand apart from the rest. 

Mike has over 15 years’ experience in his electrical career which started in 2005 in WV, where he worked as an apprentice for the IBEW Local 466 until 2009 when he became a Journeyman. While working as a Journeyman, he was enrolled in schooling in electrical theory and electrical building codes. In 2015, Mike left the union and moved to Columbia, SC to be closer to his family. In 2015, Mike was the lead Electrician on residential, commercial and solar projects with Brown Electric, where he had the opportunity to work and oversee a very diverse body of electrical projects from residential homes to commercial businesses as well as solar installation. In 2018, Mike immersed himself in the Solar aspect of electric and was contracted to work with Solarized Financial as the lead electrician for all solar projects. In February 2019, Mike became a Master Electrician and pursued his dream of opening his own electrical business.
